English lesson (prepared by Sara)
I think she is a good teacher in English, she speak all the time in English and repeats things when it's necesary. Sometimes she tanslates words to help children to understand better.
She isnpired me to wrote in English because this is the leangue I was listening to.
Vocabulary: diary, handbag, wallet, purse, brush, comb, belt, suglasses, ring, earrings, necklace, bracelet.
She does a game, she has a ball and says one word from the vocabulary list, she trows the ball to other boy and then he repeats Sara's word and says other word he thinks of and throw the ball again to an other child.
When they don't remember the word order the game starts again.
After they listened to a story and they spoke about what had happened, who had stolen the gems...
Then the children read the story, in low voice some students act different characters.
!Muchas gracias Carmen! Siempre he defendido que los profesores de idiomas no deberían hablar español en la clase. He observado como la profesora de inglés también utiliza el español para asegurarse de que han comprendido, pero me atrevo a decir que el 90% de las veces si los niños/as no saben lo que hay que hacer es porque están distraídos en otras cosas y no porque el idioma dificulte la comprensión. La profesora siempre hace previamente en la pizarra lo que los niños/as seguidamente deberán a hacer en sus cuadernos. Creo que es una estrategia importante, pero aún así hay despistados.
